This is one of my favorite songs ever, not just by Nirvana but in the WHOLE world. It has helped me through some rough times. To me it means not every one is perfect and that every one has flaws, and that we shouldn’t be afraid to show them. That other people have them too and we shouldn’t be ashamed. But it’s also about him going insane. He has no friends so he has to make them up in his head. Not the best thing but it all goes together really well cause he adds good and bad to the mix. He’s not afraid to be himself but he’s crazy. I think the reason that he has no friends is because he isn’t afraid to be himself but others are and they find it strange that he can. That’s just my opinion though.
